- 0.128u5: Angelo Salese merged The Couples driver with Merit, fixing most of the graphics/color bugs in it. Changed Z80 CPU1 clock speed to 2.5MHz, AY-3-8910A to 1250000 Hz and VSync to 76.293945 Hz.

- 0.103u4: Fixed rom names.

- 0.103u3: f205v added clone The Couples (Set 3). Changed manufacturer to Merit.

- 17th January 2006: f205v dumped The Couples (Set 3). This one looks like an intermediate release between set1 and set2; it has same dips as set1, but remaining machine code is the same as set2.

- 0.96u3: Added clone The Couples (Set 2). Improvements to The Couples driver [Angelo Salese]: Added a preliminary PPI8255 + inputs interface. Added a better workaround of the $b011 jump and sound. Now the game is somewhat playable, but there are still some problems in the game. Added AY8910 (4MHz) sound. Changed Z80 CPU1 clock speed to 3072000 Hz. Added 8-way Joystick with 4x buttons. Added dipswitches 'Number of Attempts', 'Tries Per Coin', 'Coinage', 'Difficulty', 'Sound', 'Unused', 'Clear RAM', 'Service Mode', '3' and '4'. Changed parent description to 'The Couples (Set 1)'.

- 3rd May 2005: Angelo Salese - Improved "The Couples" driver, it appears to be running on a similar but not same HW of the Merit one.

- 5th March 2005: f205v dumped The Couples (Set 2).

- 0.91u2: Angelo Salese added 'The Couples' (Merit 1988). Basic driver, not much work done on it yet.
