0.139u2 [Ogoun, Roberto Fresca]
WIP:
- 0.168: Roberto Fresca and Matt B added clone Genie (ICP-1, set 2). Derived Genie (ICP-1, set 2) - a new machine with improved memory map, remapped the roms load and created proper inputs set for Genie (ICP-1, set 2). Also added technical notes and findings [Roberto Fresca]. Changed parent description to 'Genie (ICP-1, set 1)'.
- 4th November 2015: Roberto Fresca - Thanks to Matt B, that kindly dumped his boards, we have 2 new working additions. The first one, running on a ICP-1 blue board is a new set of 'Genie'. It's like a poker game, but with lamps and nasty genies (NSFW) instead of cards. The game is for amusement only. The board has some hacks to get this game running.
- 0.139u2: Ogoun and Roberto Fresca added Genie (Video Fun Games Ltd. 198?). Added support for 'Genie'. An old magic-lamp themed game from Video Fun Games Ltd [Roberto Fresca]: Decoded graphics and colors. Accurate inputs. Discrete sound. Default NVRAM support. Xtal, CPU clock, and some discrete components values need to be checked from PCB.
- 14th August 2010: Roberto Fresca - I love when a rare bizarre game just 'falls from the sky'. This time, a heavily hacked unknown board was dumped by Ogoun and the set was forwarded to DU. The game is in fact a skill game called 'Genie', manufactured by Video Fun Games Ltd in the early 80's. Genie is just for amusement. After some reverse-engineering on the program ROMs and getting some graphics decoded, I decided to rub the lamp and go ahead with the emulation. Sound is discrete, but I'm getting good results. Currently the game is working properly with accurate graphics, inputs, etc... Just need some feedback from Ogoun to confirm the guessed part (accurate Xtal value, CPU clock, some discrete components, etc).
