- 0.81u7: Barry Rodewald and GreyRogue updated the MegaPlay driver, which makes Sonic The Hedgehog, Golden Axe 2 and Tecmo World Cup fully playable. Megaplay still has a few issues (continue without extra coins etc).

- 0.81u5: Barry Rodewald improved Megaplay, allowing it to pass more checks.

- 0.73: Added cpu1 roms ($300000/1) and 8-way Joystick, 4x button and 2nd Player.

- 0.72u2: Added 2nd Z80 (3579540 Hz) CPU. Added dipswitches 'Coin slot 1/2', 'Initial Players' and 'Difficulty'.

- 0.71u1: Added 'MegaPlay: Sonic The Hedgehog' (Sega 1993). The driver doesn't boot. David Haywood improved Genesis emulation a bit in preparation for MegaTech / MegaPlay, sound code based on MESS.

PLAY INSTRUCTIONS:

- RIGHT or LEFT move Sonic. Hold in either direction to speed up.

- Use DOWN when Sonic's moving for the 'Super Sonic Spin Attack' and 'Squat Down' when Sonic's still.

- Use JUMP button while performing the 'Super Sonic Spin Attack'.

LEVELS: 12 (Green Hill Zone (1-3), Spring Yard Zone (1-3), Star Light Zone (1-3), Scrap Brain Zone (1-2) and Final Zone)

- TRIVIA -

Released 2 years after the original, this version can be considered as a reduced version :
* Stages : Green hill -> Spring year -> Starlight -> Scrap brain (1,2) -> Final zone.
* You have a limited amount of time per level (usually pretty tight, 1 minute is the easy setting for the first level, 35 seconds seems to be the hardest).
* Extra life boxes do nothing.
* Jumping into the special stage ring does nothing (no special stages).
* When you finish it sonic seems to have the 'you didn't get any emeralds' look despite there being no emeralds due to the lack of special stages.
