WIP:
- 0.170: ShouTime added clone Power Shovel ni Norou!! - Power Shovel Simulator (v2.07J, alt). Note: Power Shovel seems to be the same version as the one in MAME already, identifies as the same, although decompressing the CHDs and comparing them side-by-side shows a lot of differences all over the place and warrants further investigation. The drive geometry should be better for the new set tho, as the drive type / size is verified. Changed parent description to 'Power Shovel ni Norou!! - Power Shovel Simulator (v2.07J)'.
- 0.148u4: Added romdumps from Power Shovel additional I/O PCB [Tormod]. The oki sample it's probably not used for rumble/vibration [hap]. Added io_cpu2 and oki1/2 roms.
- 0.146u4: Added Type-Zero BIOS roms v1.11a. Replaced TLCS-900/H CPU2 with TMP95C063. Changed PowerPC 603e CPU1 clock speed to 100MHz and visible area to 512x384. Added Player 1-4, Stick, 5x buttons and 1x coin slot.
- 0.145u4: Uncle Tom and The Dumping Union added 'Power Shovel ni Norou!! - Power Shovel Simulator' (Taito 1999). Yasuhiro Ogawa corrected game title.
- 11th March 2012: Ville Linde - WIP Screenshots of Power Shovel Simulator.
- 12th March 2011: Ville Linde - Some Taito Type-Zero games were dumped last year, and MAME already has a skeleton driver for it. Out of curiosity, I decided to have a look at the system. I spent a couple of hours trying to figure out the format for character tile data, only to realize that it's simply stored as a 512-pixel wide two-dimensional array (duh). MAME already has a TLCS900-core for emulating the IO-processor, but I don't know if it's sufficiently emulated for use in this system. I guess we'll find out soon enough. Ultimately I would like to see Power Shovel Simulator running in MAME.
