- 0.143u1: Tafoid fixed 3 players start mapped even though it is a 2 player game in Quasar. Changed input from 4 to 2 buttons.
- 0.141u4: Breaks some driver entanglements to simplify future driver_device conversion efforts [Atari Ace]: Several drivers are made into explicit subclasses of other drivers: Quasar from CVS.

- 0.135u4: Fabio Priuli added driver data struct and save states to Quasar and fixed all sets in drivers using S2636 video chip.
- 0.135u3: Fabio Priuli converted Signetics 2636 video chip to be a MAME device and updated drivers using it accordingly.
- 0.135: Fabio Priuli fixed segmentation fault after OK in Quasar and clone.
- 0.123u1: Changed palettesize to 1544 colors.
- 0.122u6: Zsolt Vasvari fixed crash on startup. Changed I8035 CPU2 clock speed to 6MHz.

- 0.79u4: Pierpaolo Prazzoli fixed some Quasar dipswitches - Game now playable.
- 0.79u3: Mike Coates and Pierpaolo Prazzoli added Quasar (Zaccaria 1980) and clone (Alternate). Other Zaccaria games are still being worked on. TODO: Sound (missing invader effect). Still not sure all noise in correct places and dipsettings.
- 25th February 2004: Mike Coates sent in a driver for Quasar by him and Pierpaolo Prazzoli. Other Zaccaria games like Astro Wars and Galaxia are still being worked on.

- TRIVIA -
Quasar is the first original game created by Zaccaria.
Zaccaria went bankrupt in 1988. The three brothers Marino, Franco and Natale Zaccaria (hence the symbol of the manufacturer, three Z with the initial of the name of the brothers on each Z) went in San Marino republic and founded Tecnoplay, a distributor of Sega arcade games in Italy among others.
