0.57 [InsideOutBoy]
WIP:
- 0.172: Angelo Salese completely rewrote the Super Cross II driver. Fixed sprites y positioning. Split legacy code in convenient function calls. Fixed opaque tiles for foreground. Added screen enable bit. Game can be marked working again. Changed VSync to 55.638395 Hz.
- 0.163: Osso switched Super Cross II to configured banking and enabled save state support.
- 0.139u3: Atari Ace converted Super Cross II to driver_data.
- 0.133u1: Renamed (sprcrs2a) to (sprcros2a).
- 0.123u1: Fixed palettesize to 768 colors. Changed description to 'Super Cross II (Japan, set 1)' and clone (Japan set 2) to 'Super Cross II (Japan, set 2)'.
- 0.116u2: Justin Kerk and Lord Nightmare updated Super Cross 2 to correctly use the SN76489 instead of the SN76496, which was a later design.
- 0.93: Pierpaolo Prazzoli added clone Super Cross 2 (Japan set 2). Changed parent description to 'Super Cross 2 (Japan set 1)'.
- 17th February 2005: f205v, Corrado Tomaselli and Gnoppi dumped Super Cross II (Japan, set 2).
- 0.57: InsideOutBoy added 'Super Cross 2 (Japan)' (GM Shoji 1986). TODO: Sprites pop in at the wrong place sometimes before entering the screen. Correct drawing/animation of bg is very sensitive to cpu speed/interrupts/ interleave, current settings aren't correct but don't think there's any visible problems. Engine rev sound may not be completely correct. BG not using second half of prom, of interest is this half is identical to the second half of a bankp/appoooh prom, hardware is similar to bankp/appoooh in a few ways, there's also an unused SEGA logo in the bg graphics. FG not using odd colours, shouldn't matter as the colours are duplicated. Sprite priorities are wrong when bikes are jumping as they are ordered on vertical position only, assume this is original behaviour.
- 27th November 2001: InsideOutBoy submitted a driver for Super Cross II, which is playable but has a few small problems.
- 15th May 2001: Guru - Purchased Super Cross II from a PCB shop in Japan with the help of Team Japump in February.
