WIP:
- 0.148u2: Reduced tagmap lookups in Backfire [Wilbert Pol].
- 0.145u8: Miodrag Milanovic fixed some recent vblank port related regressions in Backfire.
- 0.136u4: Fabio Priuli converted Backfire! to use the device-fied video chips and added driver_data class and save states.
- 0.134u3: Fabio Priuli fixed game mode setting error on startup in clone Backfire! (set 2).
- 0.133u1: Renamed (backfira) to (backfirea).
- 0.127u8: Couriersud fixed Coin 1+2, Service1 and Service Mode mapped twice in Backfire! and clone.
- 0.123u6: Fixed debug assertion in Backfire!.
- 0.122u8: Changed description to 'Backfire! (set 1)'.
- 0.106u8: David Haywood added dualscreen (2x 320x240) to Backfire!. Changed VSync to 60Hz.
- 0.103u3: Changed input from 8-way Joystick to Paddle.
- 12th January 2006: David Haywood - I fixed the priorities in BackFire! and decided it seems to work well enough to mark it as working (player 1 joystick inputs work if you follow the how to play instructions). Note that Backfire! (set 2) defaults to wheel control which is unemulated. You can set it to joystick in test mode.
- 0.103u2: David Haywood split BackFire! into a separate driver, improved the graphics, added dualscreen support and corrected sound decoding. Pierpaolo Prazzoli added sound to BackFire!. Fixed ARM CPU1 clock speed to 7MHz, visible area to 640x240, video aspect ratio to 8:3 and sound rom loading.
- 9th January 2006: David Haywood - Again based on Bryan's work I've split BackFire! from the generic 156 driver and put it in it's own file. The game is fairly different to the other Deco156 based games in that it supports 2 monitors. Both monitors are now displayed, although colour problems remain. The game remains unplayable as it needs further work on the maths co-processor. Update: Fixed the colour problems, but priority issues remain.
- 9th January 2006: David Haywood - I decided to take a look at some more of the things Bryan submitted. I'm currently looking to hook up both screens in BackFire (it's meant to be a 2 screen game) and seeing if I can make any progress with the Co-Processor.
- 0.103u1: Changed ARM CPU1 clock speed to 14MHz. Added YMZ280B (14Mhz) sound. Changed visible area to 320x240.
- 0.98u3: Added clone Backfire! (set 2).
- 0.84: David Haywood added Backfire! (Data East 1995).
- 2nd January 2003: Guru - Dumped Backfire! (Data East 1995).
- 2nd November 2002: Guru - Back Fire! (Data East 1995) arrived from Pelle.
