0.37b8 [Mathis Rosenhauer]
WIP:
- 0.181: Rewrote Beezer driver: Uses the standard 6840 PTM core for sound generation. New MM5837 Noise Generator device. New DAC-76 DAC sound. Use resistor network values for colors. Use bankdev device for banking [Dirk Best]. Replaced 'beezer SFX' sound with 'DAC-76 COMDAC'.
- 0.153: Converted VIA6522 to use DEVCB2. Removed VIA6522 read_ca*/read_cb* in Beezer as they just returned what you'd written to the chip already. Removed VIA6522 ca2 callback as the value is already pushed. Clears VIA6522 port a and port b latches at startup, temporarily reverted CA1 timing change as Beezer is extremely sensitive to CB2 timing, temporarily prevented port a read handlers from affecting reading back of output bits (real hardware can do this but some handlers are returning 0 for bits that they aren't driving low) [smf].
- 0.149u1: Modernized the Beezer sound device [Osso]. Disabled some unused private members (audio\beezer.c) [Oliver Stoeneberg].
- 0.148u3: Juergen Buchmueller fixed an out-of-range access spot by GCC-4.9 (audio\beezer.c).
- 0.144u2: Angelo Salese removed deprecat.h usage from Beezer. Converted Beezer to proper vertical screen orientation, being originally a Galaxian conversion kit that's quite obvious as well [Angelo Salese]. Changed visible area to 240x288.
- 0.141u2: Lord Nightmare fixed missing sound channel in Beezer; sound should now be more or less correct, but the noise source still isn't accurate yet. Improved Beezer volume DAC handling to be accurate to hardware. Beezer now uses correct MM5837 noise source (clock may be a bit off though), and now has MM5837 properly hooked to audio via. May still be some issues with intermittent noise updating which need fixing.
- 0.141u1: Lord Nightmare added preliminary working sound to Beezer. Added missing XYZ latch readback on Beezer, gets sound closer to working. Documentation update to Beezer for facilitating future sound work. Replaced DAC sound with 'beezer SFX'.
- 0.126u3: Andrew Gardner merged memory maps in Beezer.
- 0.123u6: RansAckeR added DIP locations to Beezer.
- 0.37b8: Mathis Rosenhauer added 'Beezer (set 1)' (Tong Electronic 1982) and clone (set 2).
- 27th September 2000: Mathis Rosenhauer cleaned up the Beezer driver a bit.
- 21st September 2000: Mathis Rosenhauer sent in a driver for Beezer.
