WIP:
- 0.166: Added 'GP Rider (World, FD1094 317-0163) (Twin setup)' and clones (Japan, FD1094 317-0161) (Twin setup) and (US, FD1094 317-0162) (Twin setup). Correctly emulated the 'Twin' X-Board setup which was used by GP Rider (a bridge board with shared RAM). Note: Apparently GP Rider uses a setup similar to F1 Exhaust Note etc. where the game uses a dual PCB stack and bridge board providing a direct connection containing shared RAM rather than a network connection. In order to facilitate this we need both PCB stacks running, so as per a request from SailorSat I've made this possible, and added a set 'gpridert' which uses this configuration. Unfortunately, for reasons unknown to me, the communication still breaks down (it was thought that this could have been caused by the hacks needed if running multiple instances of MAME with shared RAM as a file instead, but apparently not). As this is something of a failed experiment I'm submitting it for SailorSat to take a look at, might revert it before the next release however, although once we do have full dumps of some of the Sega gambling / redemption games we'll need the various board types as devices anyway as those games mix multiple types of boards for the different screens [David Haywood]. Fixes for GP Rider Twin setup. Works, but needs cleanup [SailorSat]. Marked the Twin setups for GP Rider as working (everything seems fine in my testing with SailorSat's changes) [David Haywood]. Fixed missing 'Demo Sounds'. Renamed (gprider) to (gpriders), (gpriderj) to (gpriderjs) and (gprideru) to (gpriderus).
- 0.146u5: ShouTime, Charles MacDonald and Aaron Giles added clone GP Rider (Japan, FD1094 317-0161).
- 3rd August 2012: Aaron Giles - We got a dump of the Japanese version of GP Rider, another X-Board game that still has a working FD1094, thankfully.
- 29th July 2012: Smitdogg - ShouTime got the Japan version of GP Rider.
- 0.146u1: Brian Troha renamed (gprider1) to (gprideru).
- 0.143u8: Changed 'Unknown' dipswitches to 'Unused'.
- 0.143u7: Changed description to 'GP Rider (World, FD1094 317-0163)' and clone (set 1, US, FD1094 317-0162) to 'GP Rider (US, FD1094 317-0162)'.
- 0.143u2: Fallout (Arcadezentrum) fixed GP Rider (set 2, World, FD1094 317-0163) - Game now playable. Added missing maincpu roms (epr-13409.ic58 and epr-13408.ic63).
- 0.112u2: Aaron Giles fixed bad bits in a couple of FD1094 keys. Added a small optimization to the FD1094 decoding step. Added new FD1094 317-0163 key to GP Rider (set 2, World, FD1094 317-0163).
- 0.109: Fixed rom names and documentation. Changed description to 'GP Rider (set 2, World, FD1094 317-0163)'.
- 0.107u2: Removed 3rd button.
- 0.94u5: Aaron Giles fixed several divide chip behaviors (segaic16.c), fixing Line of Fire and GP Rider. Game now playable.
- 0.94u2: Aaron Giles added hack to make GP Rider (set 1) boot; input bug prevents full playability.
- 0.92: Renamed (gprider) to (gprider1) and (gpridera) to (gprider).
- 0.89u6: New Sega X-Board driver [Aaron Giles]. GP Rider no longer boots (nested interrupts).
- 0.89u2: Fixed gfx2 rom loading.
- 25th November 2004: R. Belmont - Fixed the sound in GP Rider.
- 0.89: R. Belmont improved GPRider sound. Swapped sound1 roms ($0, 40000). Changed description to 'GP Rider (set 1, US, FD1094 317-0162)' and clone (set 2, 317-0163) to 'GP Rider (set 2, FD1094 317-0163)'.
- 0.88u7: Changed description to 'GP Rider (set 1, US, 317-0162)'.
- 0.88u5: Added 'GP Rider (set 1, 317-0162)' (Sega 1990) and clone GP Rider (set 2, 317-0163).
- 13th November 2004: Charles MacDonald - Dumped GP Rider FD1094 CPU. Haze: Seems to have a few(!) graphical issues though at the moment. The road seems to be drawn with a combination of sprites and bg layers. I think they must do some crazy rowscroll/select effect with the bg tilemap because it just looks wrong if you hook it up (priority is also 100% incorrect, road is over sprites if you draw the bg). The game has no road rom (odd considering its an xboard game).
