NOTE:

- Clone Silver Land shouldn't be a clone of River Patrol, it's a totally different game (skiing instead of boat rescue), made by someone else! It's just a cleverly-disguised bootleg. I think it was Zsolt who stated this when the games were first added. It used to be mentioned in one of the text files that came with MAME, but I think it got wiped out once gamelist.txt became automatically generated. The Dog

- 0.175: ShouTime added River Patrol (Japan). Comes from an original PCB. Changed 'River Patrol (Orca)' to clone 'River Patrol (bootleg set 1)' and clone (bootleg) to 'River Patrol (bootleg set 2)'. Renamed (rpatrol) to (rpatrola).

- 0.140u3: MASH fixed sprite colors in River Patrol. Swapped gfx2 roms ($0, 800).

- 0.122u8: Changed 'River Patrol (Orca)' to parent. Renamed (rpatrolo) to (rpatrol).

- 0.104u9: David Haywood added clone River Patrol (Orca). This set came from a 'Silver Land' board with Silver Land GFX roms, however the program roms are nearly the same as River Patrol but appear to have an original ORCA copyright.

- 6th November 2005: f205v dumped River Patrol (Orca).

- 0.53: Swapped gfx2 roms ($0, 800).

- 0.34b3: Zsolt Vasvari added 'River Patrol (bootleg)' (1981) and clone Silver Land. Don't be fooled by the completely different graphics in Silver Land, this is the same game in disguise.

- 2nd September 1998: J-ROM dumped River Patrol (bootleg).

- 24th June 1998: Dumped Silver Land.

River Patrol (c) 1981 Orca.

You are the captain of a river patrol ship in this top-down game. Your mission : To save the poor souls who fell into the river. But it is not that easy, in your way lays some big boulders, crocodiles and some tree logs, all waiting to sink your vessel.
