0.95u2 [ClawGrip, f205v, David Haywood]
WIP:
- 0.164: Osso added save state support to Table Tennis Champions.
- 0.161: David Haywood and Angelo Salese fixed graphical bug during attract mode in Table Tennis Champions - Game now playable. Added working NVRAM [David Haywood].
- 25th March 2015: Angelo Salese - Halt Catch and Fire: Got interested in the recent Spider WIP improvements and the correlated Table Tennis Championship development, I've decided to take a look at this exotic FPGA-based video blitter. The thing is definitely weird, as Haze also explained in his blog it basically reads an i/o port to enter into "blitter mode", and any following write to the memory mapped bus actually routes to the blitter, and using the address bus instead of the data bus either for obfuscation or performance reasons. It's not a novelty (Sharp X1 Japanese computer line did something similar back in 1981) but definitely a bit annoying, and the main roadblock towards emulation of this game until today.
- 0.160: Identified that Table Tennis Champions uses the same style DMA/blitter as the recently added Spider (Twins driver), made some improvements, added sound, it isn't driven by PIC and role of PIC still unknown. Identified the main difference between the two sets. Added pen based blending and notes [David Haywood]. Global layer clearance is at 0x10 bits 4-5. Fixed Gamart logo, bit 1 of port 0x10 enables transparent pen for the blitter. Fixed ROM bank for the blitter [Angelo Salese]. Added OKI6295 (1Mhz) sound. Changed parent description to 'Table Tennis Champions' and clone (set 2) to 'Table Tennis Champions (Palencia Elektronik license)'.
- 0.156: Brian Troha changed year info 1995.
- 0.147: Some notes / observations and changes to act as an example so you can see what I'm talking about (and a fix to the input ports), regarding Table Tennis Champions driver [David Haywood]. Added 'Service Mode' dipswitch.
- 10th August 2008: Luca Elia - I've been doing some minor improvements to Table Tennis Champions (still working on that).
- 0.118u3: Changed NEC V30 CPU core to use a 16-bit data bus [Aaron Giles, Phil Bennett, Pierpaolo Prazzoli].
- 0.102: Added clone Table Tennis Champions (set 2). Changed parent description to 'Table Tennis Champions (set 1)'. Renamed (penocup) to (ttchamp).
- 0.96u3: David Haywood added preliminary video emulation to PenoCup driver. Replaced user1/2 roms with new user1. Added 2x Players, 8-way Joystick, 3x buttons nad 2x coin slots. Added dipswitches '0x0003' and 5x 'Unknown'. Changed description to 'Table Tennis Championships / Peno Cup?'.
- 9th May 2005: David Haywood - The MAME Italia guys managed to get what appears to be a good dump from Peno Cup?. Title of the game is still unknown for now.
- 5th May 2005: ClawGrip and f205v dumped Table Tennis Champions (set 1).
- 0.95u2: Added 'Peno Cup?' (Gamart? 199?). Maybe wrong title, corrupt rom data.
