SETUP:
- To calibrate/display the analog control hold down key (9), tap on (F2) and then (F3). Apply the controls to their limits and then tap (F2) again.
WIP:
- 0.182: Angelo Salese hooked up Namco C148 to Winning Run GPU. Fixed POSIRQ line for Winning Run, fixes map indicator in Winning Run '91. Fixed POS interrupt generation.
- 0.180: Remap controls to use pedals and paddles for Winning Run '91 [Logan B]. Added vertical 2-way Joystick, Paddle and Pedal.
- 0.146u4: Changed description to 'Winning Run '91 (Japan)'.
- 0.145u1: Phil Bennett fixed Winning Run 91 - Game now playable. Writing a C148 IRQ priority register now clears the prior interrupt state (required by winrun) [Phil Bennett].
- 0.130u1: Phil Bennett fixed C140 ROM loading in Winning Run 91. Changed description to 'Winning Run 91 (Japan)'.
- 6th November 2007: Phil Stroffolino - JetCrow made an interesting observation with Winning Run hardware, as emulated in MAME. If the GPU managing the bitmap layer (CPU#5) is underclocked by approx 90%, some of the rendering bugs in attract mode go away. There is a screen that displays each of the opponent cars (either computer or other players on linked cabinets) while flashing "INSERT COIN" that had been totally buggered up. The "real" fix still needs to be identified - it may be simple CPU synchronization associated with too-chunky time slices, or something more subtle. I am eager to get Driving Eyes fully working, which will provide a nice bridge to Galaxian 3.
- 0.119u1: Added TMS32025 (24MHz) CPU5. Changed visible area to 496x480. Changed region cpu5 to cpu6. Fixed user1/2/3 roms addresses. Changed input to 2 buttons and 2x coin slots.
- 0.78u5: Some rudimentary work has been done for "Winning Run '91" [Phil Stroffolino]: This game runs on prototype System21 hardware, and as such is quite different from the other titles. It uses a 3rd 68k CPU to render graphics to a bitmap layer (there is no sprite chip), but still appears to rely on DSPs for 3d graphics. Added 68000 (12.288 MHz) CPU5, fixed cpu5/user1/3 rom loading and changed visible area to 512x512.
- 0.74u2: Added 'Winning Run 91' (Namco 1991).
- 0.55: Added (Testdriver) Winning Run 91. 2D graphics are unpacked incorrectly and DSP roms are different.
