SETUP:

- The first time you run the game, the EEPROM 24G shows as BAD in the RAM/ROM Check. Hold F2 then hit Reset F3. Continue holding F2 until the game creates the EEPROM and tells you to release it.

Bugs:

- Stage 3 crashes the emulator. ReyVGM (ID 05692)

WIP:

- 0.150: Added 256 bytes eeprom-slrasslt.bin EEPROM.

- 0.147: Ville Linde fixed Solar Assault - Game now playable.

- 0.136: Added eeprom-slrasslt.bin EEPROM.

- 0.114u3: Ville Linde fixed analog controls in Solar Assault.

- 0.114u2: Ville Linde fixed many of the remaining polygon glitches in Solar Assault.

- 0.113u4: Added Stick control.

- 18th March 2007: Ville Linde - I was finally able to find and fix the SHARC bugs that were causing Solar Assault and GTI Club to crash. After that I went to improve the Konami 3D graphics chip emulation. Now both games are starting look quite good. Neither game is playable yet, though. Solar Assault is currenly missing the analog controls, and GTI Club still has some problems with the network chip.

- 0.110u3: Added RF5C400 stereo sound. Removed 2nd Player. Changed parent description to 'Solar Assault (ver UAA)'.

- 0.104u6: Ville Linde added 'Solar Assault DR2 (ver UAA)' (Konami 1997).

- TRIVIA -

Solar Assault Revised was released in December 1997 in the Japanese arcades.

Changes from Solar Assault Gradius are :
- Some stage backgrounds have been changed: "River Styx" now features a huge planet at the bottom of the screen and "Abyssal Forest" has a darker color palette and also a slightly different level design with new obstacles and enemies to avoid.
- A new Lava based stage has been added as level 2, bringing the total levels to 6.
- A new boss fight occurs on the last stage before fighting the last boss.
- The "Speed Demon" stage boss has a completely different attack pattern.
- An ending animation has been included instead of just credits. The animation is the same one you get in Gradius 1.

This game was known in US as just "Solar Assault".
